Use of Generative AI in RMV Products
Here at RMV Publications, we take pride in producing accurate and timely information for travellers of the Canadian Rockies and beyond. All our writers, editors, designers, and sales team are local to the areas we service, and all of our products are printed in Canada. We produce authentic products to represent the best activities, dining, shopping, attractions, and stories so visitors and locals can make informed decisions about their vacations.
As such, we are not accepting content created through Generative AI at this time.
While Generative AI may be a new and exciting tool, we do not believe it generates authentic and accurate content that visitors need to make an informed decision. Generative AI tools also cannot hold accountability for misinformation. There are currently unresolved issues surrounding ownership of AI generated content as well as ongoing legal issues surrounding copyright and plagiarism. These issues bring into question the integrity of using Generative AI tools and we feel using these tools in our products would bring into question the integrity of RMV Publications as well.

We realize the world of Generative AI is new and changing rapidly. We will continue to review our policy around its use in our products as changes happen and adapt as necessary.
